Off-loading of Game

General Helpful Hints on Off Loading Game.
Please leave the game alone once off-loaded to allow them time to settle.
Vehicles and too much activity shortly after off loading leads to more stress, and can result in animals breaking through fences, or injuring themselves.
Please make sure that game has access to fresh water on arrival.
Please ensure that your offloading spot is accessible for large game trucks.
Offloading spot should not be near fences.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to confirm that all animals are in good condition before offloading. Once the animals are off the transport vehicle, ownership and liability passes from the seller to the buyer.
The Offloading Ramp
The Ramp:
- must slope down on the sides as well.
- must be accessible to transport vehicles to offload from the rear and from the side – the doors are on the right hand side of the vehicle.
- must be constructed in such a way that there is no gap between the back of the truck and the front of the ramp to prevent an animal breaking a leg when it slips into the small gap.
- must preferably be in the center of the camp.
The height of the offloading ramp should be 1.4m and 2.9m wide, at an angle of not more than 30°.
The onus is on the buyer to ensure that the game you purchase is introduced to suitable habitat.
